The bus will pick you up either at your Athens hotel, or from Plateia Eleftherias in central Athens. After about one hour, we will arrive at the Corinth canal for a 15-minute break. Next stop is ancient Epidaurus, the mythological birthplace of Asklepios, the Greek god of healing. Tour the spectacular relics, including the UNESCO-listed Sanctuary of Asklepios, with its crumbled buildings. There is also the breathtaking ancient theatre of Epidaurus. Built in the 4th century BC, the colossal theater is considered one of the world’s most beautiful, and still boasts fabulous acoustics. A true feat of ancient engineering!Afterwards you will continue your tour at the charming seaside port of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Wander along its castle walls, admire its old houses, and explore its picturesque narrow streets. Here you will have free time for lunch, coffee, or shopping. Your trip ends back at the original departure point in Athens.
